The females are primarily grey.

They are feasting on Hawthorn berries - a European shrub.

In the forest we have seen them high in branches of eucalypts, cracking open gumnuts, as far as we can tell.



I don't recall them making a very distinctive call - unlike the sulphur-crested cockatoos, which are probably the loudest and certainly most raucous bird of all.
