TR-808 modification prices for Australian customers

This page lists prices for customers in Australia, or who are overseas but wish their machine to be delivered to someone in Australia, who will return it to them.

These prices include GST and are for payment with cash or transfer to our bank account (we will email the details). 

After your machine arrives I will discuss the modifications you want via email or phone.  I will confirm the work to be done with the total cost.

The following lines can be copied into an email, deleting those which do not apply.  The items below do not include freight costs.  Please see ../../freight-insurance .  TR-808s are too valuable to be sent by Australia Post.

    $330    Cleanup and basic repairs, including pot
            cleaning and write-spike mods.

    $330    New backup battery arrangements with larger
            capacitor, internal battery holder for
            cylindrical lithium battery with the lithium
            battery installed and a switch with two
            LEDs to separately indicate the charge of
            the three AA alkaline batteries and the
            lithium battery.

    $275    Install Omron sealed tact switches.
      
    $330    Install new 220-240V power transformer and
            mains lead.

    $660    4 Level Accent system.

    $660    Sound Modifications with 3 Audio Inputs.

  $825    Sound Modifications with 3 Audio Inputs
            and 3.5mm socket for audio/CV signals to
            turn on Accent.  ../#accentin .


    $660    32 Banks of Memory.


or  $880    32 Banks of Memory with Dynamic Bank
            Switching: two 3.5mm audio/CV input
            sockets with two LEDs to invert two of the
            memory bank address bits. 


or $1100    32 Banks of Memory with Dynamic Bank
            Switching: four 3.5mm audio/CV input
            sockets with four LEDs to invert four of
            the memory bank address bits.

MIDI In and Out, MIDI In or MIDI In for Sync only.  Descriptions at ../#midi :

    $990    Kenton MIDI In and Out system kit (link)
            installed, with In, Thru and Out sockets
            and a higher quality C&K push-button switch
            mounted below the rear panel with a protective
            surround.

  $xxx    Real World Interfaces MIDI In system with
            MIDI In via the Sync Socket and a 3.5mm
            socket for the Auxiliary Trigger output.
            This was planned, but it seems unlikely
            that I will develop it.   


            For which there is an optional:

    $176    Sync Lead (link) which enables up to three
            slave devices to be driven with the DIN/
            Roland Sync which the MIDI In system
            generates when receiving MIDI Sync.

  
or  $350    Real World Interfaces MIDI In for Sync only
            system with MIDI In via the Sync Socket.
