Table of times for Melbourne and North America

After a few Pacific Islands and New Zealand, Australia gets the sun first after it crosses the International Date Line.  Japan, Singapore and Indonesia get the sun with us too.  Then its India's turn, then the Middle East and Africa and Europe.  Then the Earth turns the Atlantic Ocean sunwards before the Americas roll into position for their dose of daylight.  Hawaii is last on the roster.  A US Navy time zone map is available at: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/AA/faq/docs/world_tzones.html

Daylight saving in Victoria and NSW (Queensland has long debated, but still rejects it) starts some time in October and ends some time in March.  This involves making the clocks show a time one hour earlier than it really is - it always confuses me.

I am usually most awake between 10 AM and 10 PM.
